Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) is the largest institution of higher education for biomedical sciences in Lithuania, successfully integrating studies, research, and clinical practice. The University hospital is the biggest hospital in Lithuania providing care according to the highest standards of evidence-based clinical practice and implementing innovations based on scientific research. The hospital consists of 39 clinical departments, 9 intensive care and anestesiology units and other facilities, performing more than 80000 admissions every year with full spectrum of planned and emergency operations – from cardiothoracic, orthopedics, neurosurgery, oncology and other. LSMU is involved in project as a clinical partner.
