Tampere University

Tampere University (TAU) is a multidisclipinary public university located in the city of Tampere, Finland. It is the second largest university in the country by student enrollment. The university was established on January 1st, 2019, as a merger between the former University of Tampere and Tampere University of Technology. The Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology combines research and education in both medicine and biomedical sciences and engineering making it ideal for developing new solutions for healthcare. 

The role of TAU in ThrombUS+ is to study the use of impedance spectroscopy technology for the detection of deep vein thrombosis, develop machine learning approaches for combining multiple data sources for the problem, and perform clinical investigations for data collection and validation of the technology developed in the project.
